Film Ottawa and filmottawa.com: sole purpose is to promote Ottawa to Film producers and indie Film Companies in the Los Angeles area.

I believe that FILM OTTAWA or Filmottawa.com is actually a pilot project started by two local Ottawa film maker brothers who have roots in Los Angeles. They started the pilot project partly in response to the City’s new economic plan in attracting film production to the city of Ottawa back in August.
The main purpose of Film Ottawa is to create a presence in the LA film industry that Ottawa is a viable and preferred production destination.
To create a presence they use various low grade social media and traditional formats, local Hollywood film publications and production listings, as well as a physical presence at some local LA Film festivals.
In order to advertise in LA papers or list in the Hollywood phone or film production directories one needs a local address.
They have a condo in Hollywood California and use a semi-virtual office in the condo as the local Los Angeles FILM OTTAWA office. The number is active though, 323-851-9246. I called and they did got back to me.
